Crossings at Carnegie. Longtime friends and notable artists Harold Grabitske and Ivan Whillock, who often showed work together in the early days of their art careers, found each other again through a class at Crossings. RCTC LIFE (Learning Is ForEver) Imagining History

Instructor: Gerald Anderson This class will be built on the imagination of the participants. The instructor will present historical situations and the members of the class will be asked how they would respond or react if they had lived at the time of the event. There is no right or wrong to this, of course, but only an opportunity to react, as the old television program declared, as though "You Are There."

Memorial Day Service

The Memorial Day Service begins with a parade that departs at Central Park (2nd St. & 1st Ave NW) and ends at Soldier's Field Park. Following the parade, there will be a 10:30am program at Soldier's Field Veteran's Memorial. Following the program a "Memorial Day Bash" at the VFW located at 16 6th St SW including entertainment and food (for purchase) all day (until dark) in tents.
