Native American Flute in Song and Story

The story and song of the Native American flute will be presented at a concert by musician and tribal music educator Jon Romer at Crossings at Carnegie. Romer, who has taught tribal music for the past 15 years, will weave into his performance the history and tradition of the Native American flute, its design on a pentatonic scale, the different types of flutes traditionally played by American Indians and the various types of music they played.
